For some this can be difficult. One of the first challenges as a consultant is to support the Owner\/Manager in overcoming this invisible obstacle, to free themselves from \u00a0their mental chains, to let them escape from the &#8220;One Man Show&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In our experience, the qualities that make <strong>a good start-up <\/strong>are not necessarily the same what makes <strong>a good Owner\/Manager. <\/strong>To take this second step towards success requires an ability to <strong>REALLY <\/strong>delegate, and not merely pretend to.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b32a31;\"><strong>some of the many Psychological barriers PREVENTing sme LEADERS from delegating:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>strong competence, leading to perfectionism and obsession with control<\/li>\n<li>difficulty in accepting that they can &#8220;do things differently&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>difficulty in adjusting the degree of control to exert over each individual<\/li>\n<li>fear of losing some of their power<\/li>\n<li>fear of damaging the image of their company, or even their own image<\/li>\n<li>the certainty that they can do everything faster and better than anyone else<\/li>\n<li>inability to accept loss of quality of deliverables, even if it\u2019s only temporary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b32a31;\"><strong>with this in mind, our goal is to:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">identify the Owner\/Manager\u2019s psychological barriers<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">define the type of people who could complement the Owner\/Manager\u2019s strengths, and make a coherent and harmonious whole<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">define what could and should be delegated<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">support Owner\/Managers in their decision-making<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">facilitate the main management meetings<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">change the point at which you decide to delegate, over time<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">implement reporting and monitoring tools<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">anticipate the organisational structure required to support rapid company growth, 18 months in advance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If an Owner\/Manager wants their business to grow, they have to learn to delegate.
